About Us
Bowling Green Farm Campsite is a small family-run campsite on the flanks of Carn Brea near Redruth.
Set on a large field with stunning views across the countryside we can accommodate tents, campervans and caravans with a small number of electric hookups available.
We offer WC facilities with hot showers and a small kitchen area for washing up. There is a microwave, kettle and toaster for those occasions when the great British weather turns your campfire into a bit of a damp squib!
We sell our own free-range eggs but for your other requirements, there are the usual supermarkets and shops a short drive down the hill.
The site is less than 500m from our local The Countryman, a great dog-friendly pub with a good real ale selection and a fantastic reputation for food.
The site is in an area dotted with the iconic chimney stacks as a reminder of Cornwall's mining heritage with numerous dog walking options from a short stroll to tackling the Great Flat Lode, a 12km route that encircles Carn Brea.
The nearest beach at Portreath is a short drive but operates a seasonal dog ban. However, there are acres of sand dunes and a dog-friendly beach area further down the coast towards Hayle. Nearby Tehidy Woods are also fabulous for dogs.
We are within easy reach of all the well-known attractions such as the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lands End and many others.
We try to keep all our guests happy so ask that you keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm, that dogs are kept on leads and that you clear up after them at all times and that BBQs are kept off the grass (there is a stack of bricks by the bins that can be used for this) and that you dispose of the ashes safely in the metal bin provided.
